Signing up for Leanne’s sharp edges course was the best thing I did for myself this year! I’ve been baking my childrens birthday cakes since they were born and always referred to them as my ‘wobbly’ cakes, because they never looked great close up. Now, I think I can safely say that my wobbly cakes are a thing of the past. I’ve been told before that ganache is the secret to straight edges, but it’s so much more than that. Leanne’s course is so well set up, easy to follow, all the info you could need, and videos to keep you right. The live sessions were invaluable because you could learn from the Q&A with the other class members and get an eve better understanding of what you were trying to achieve with each step. I couldn’t believe how well my first cake turned out, and then the one after that and the one after that. Finally I can feel proud of the finish of my cakes and have been baking for friend now, not just family. If you are not sure whether to invest in the course or not, just do it! You won’t regret it. I had a lor of fun and highly recommend the course to everyone.

After coming across Leanne on Instagram I have learned so much and become more confident in my baking. I joined the sharp edges course which was very well organized and covered all the stages of the best way to get sharp edges on your cake. I had never heard of the upside down method and it is now all I do. I am no longer scared of a fondant cake. Leanne is so friendly and helpful, she’s happy to answer any questions and also give tips based on her experience. I feel like I can charge the correct amount for my cakes as they are more professional looking and not so rough. I cannot wait for the sugar flower courses and any others that Leanne may do.

Finally got a chance to try out some of the techniques and processes this last couple of days as I’ve made my first ever wedding cake! So chuffed with how they came out Leanne!
